All our teak furniture is mostly made by hand. This is why you will find again and again that not all screw connections and/or wooden dowels are completely identical to assemble. It is almost always the same, however there are sometimes cases where the carpenter has chosen to use a screw differently. Each piece of furniture is unique and therefore no two pieces are ever 100 % identical. There may be minor differences from piece to piece. This makes this item unique. Teak furniture is normally fully assembled by carpenters. As we are an online retailer, however, the manufacturer has especially made the products so they can be taken apart in order for us to send them to you. The furniture is not intended for repeated assembly and disassembly. The furniture needs to be carefully assembled by you just once. This can be a bit difficult and time consuming, but afterwards you will be pleased with it for years.
Wood is alive, it stretches and shrinks. The furniture is made in Indonesia from sustainably grown plantation teak and can then travel for around 8 weeks via many seas around the world. Should it be the case that a part no longer fits, please just use a little sandpaper. Since the furniture is solid teak, this is no problem at all.
